Minnie Lee CARNAHAN, 87, Bull Shoals

Minnie Lee HOOVER CARNAHAN, age 87, of Bull Shoals, died May 30, 2000 at the Twin Lakes Nursing Home in Flippin.

Mrs. CARNAHAN was born Oct. 22, 1912 in Franklin Parish, LA the daughter of Allen Garfield and Meddie Ann (SHERWOOD) CHAPMAN. She was the owner of the Village Vogue store in Bull Shoals for 26 years and was the former manager and buyer for Lerner's. She had been a resident of Bull Shoals since 1957 after moving here from Little Rock. Mrs. CARNAHAN was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bull Shoals and a longtime choir member.

Survivors include her son, Charlie HOOVER and his wife, Sherry of Bull Shoals; her daughter Glenda Ann BUCHANAN and her husband, John of Houston, TX; and her grandchildren, John BUCHANAN, Jr. of Berkeley, CA, Scot BUCHANAN of Dallas, TX, Trey BUCHANAN of Wheaton, IL, Chris HOOVER of Clinton, MO and Jennifer HOOVER of Greensboro, NC. Mrs. CARNAHAN was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Charles J. HOOVER and Richard L. CARNAHAN; two sisters, and a brother.

Services were held at the United Methodist Church of Bull Shoals with Rev. Gary Goldman officiating.
