Mrs. Whittington

COLUMBIA -- Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Whittington, 99, of Hebert were to be held at 4:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia with the Rev. W. M. Causey and the Rev. J. B. Bell officiating.

Burial was to be in Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.

Mrs. Whittington died Wednesday morning at Columbia Heights Nursing Home after a long illness.

Surviving are a son, Ira Whittington of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Inez McClanahan and Mrs. Beulah Blackwell, both of Hebert; 27 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren.

Grandsons were to serve as pallbearers.
