MRS. BARNEY NEWCOMB

Funeral services for Mrs. Barney (Mollie) Newcomb, 72, of Rt. 4, Laurel, were held Monday 3 p.m., from the Antioch Baptist Church, Jasper County.

The Revs. Sim Morris and J. D. Mayfield officiated with burial in the Antioch Cemetery.

Mrs. Newcomb died Saturday in a local hospital. She belonged to the Faith Assembly of God Church and was the daughter of the late Elijah and Becky Bishop Dickerson.

She is survived by her husband, B. E. Newcomb, Rt. 4. Laurel; five sons; Elijah Newcomb, Rt. 3, Laurel, Bobby Newcomb, Rt. 5, Laurel, Billy Newcomb, Rt. 4, Laurel, Nevells Newcomb, Rt. 4, Laurel and B. G. Newcomb, Laurel; three daughters, Mrs. E. Allgood, Rt. 1, Ellisville; Mrs. James Westbrook, Rt. 1, Hazelhurst [sic Hazlehurst], and Mrs. Hilman Evans, Laurel; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Leah Evans, Taylorsville; Mrs. Evertee Ivey, Jackson; Mrs. Esther Gregory, Sylverina and two brothers, Longino Dickerson and Monroe Dickerson, both of Sylverina.

Serving as pallbearers were Bobbie May, Charles Newcomb, Charles Dickerson, Paul Dickerson, Billy John Dickerson and Bobby Med Gregory, nephews.

Memory Chapel was in charge.
