Molly Radford
OKLAHOMA CITY
Molly Radford passed away Monday, April 25, 2016. She was born September 25, 1940 to Mary Margaret and Lester Pierson in Oklahoma City. She proudly graduated from Northwest Classen in 1958 then attended Abilene Christian briefly before marrying Nils Spencer and becoming a wonderful mother to her only daughter Kelly. Although her first marriage was not meant to last, she found true love with Robert (Bob) Radford and was happily married to him for 35 years. They celebrated their coral anniversary this past October.
Molly spent her professional career with Southwestern Bell where she was proud to be known as a “Bell Head” and after 31 years of service retired as a District Manager. However, retirement did not suit the unstoppable Molly Radford, and she went back to work to apply her amazing management capabilities in two dental offices before officially retiring...again.
Molly was the epitome of class and style and possessed the traits of a true lady. She was known and admired for her take charge attitude. In any activity she participated in, from PTA to fundraising co-chair to Association President, she gracefully took the lead and accomplished any goal put in front of her. To her grandchildren she will be remembered as the best Grammy ever, never missing an opportunity to spoil them or support them in any endeavor they undertook. Molly was the sunshine and happiness in many peoples' lives as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Despite battling cancer for the last several years, Molly demonstrated her courage and strength by living every day to its fullest.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Lester Pierson; her brother, Bobby Pierson; and her daughter, Kelly Bear.
Molly is survived by her husband, Bob Radford; her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Liane Radford; her grandchildren and their families, Megan and Drew Massoni, Chandler and Megan Radford, and Griffin Radford; her sister-in-law, Cindy Sirotkin; and her special sister, Tricia Spencer.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 1:00pm, at Mayfair Church of Christ, Oklahoma City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Please designate for Cancer Research.
