Morton Boy Dies, Parents Badly Hurt

FOREST -- A 16-year old boy was killed and three other people injured in a collision on the Lime Creek Road south of Morton Thursday afternoon.

Moody Arinder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Arinder, of Morton, was killed outright, and his parents were critically injured, and a nine-year old brother received a broken leg.

The Arinder family's car was in collision with a truck owned by the Davis Poultry company of Pelahatchie and driven by Irving Wadsworth. Sheriff Bruce Rushing of Scott county investigated. Mr. and Mrs. Arinder and the younger son were transferred to the Baptist Hospital from Lackey Memorial Hospital Thursday night.

Funeral services for Moody Arinder will be held at 4 p.m. Friday from the Lorena Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery with Ott and Lee in charge.

In addition to his parents and his younger brother, he is survived by two other brothers, Hubert, of Forest, and Robert of Morton; four sisters, Dottie and Minnie Arinder, of Morton, Mrs. Indianola Ainsworth, Forest and Mrs. Arabel Davis Collins.
