Morris D. Griffing

PEARL -- Morris D. “Shane” Griffing, 52, died Sunday at his home. Services are 10 a.m. today at Baldwin-Enochs Funeral Home chapel with burial and Masonic rites in Floral Hill Cemetery.

The Bentonia native had lived in Pearl for the past 17 years. He had formerly worked as a truck driver and as an employee of Knox Glass Co. in Flowood. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and Levell Woods Masonic Lodge No. 626.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva A. Griffing; daughters, Miss Mary Jo Griffing and Mrs. Eva M. Sawin, both of Pearl; son, Morris Benton Griffing and Bobby M. Griffing, both of Brandon, Dennis L. Griffing of Pearl and Lamar D. Griffing of Charleston, S.C.; parents, Oscar M. and Mary Griffing of Pearl; brother, Lamar Griffing of Jackson; and eight grandchildren.
