Nacogdoches Boy Is Dead of Burns

NACOGDOCHES, Texas, June 25. -- Morris Spradley, 25 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dunk Spradley of this city, died Tuesday night from burns received Sunday evening when he and companions attempted to refill the gas tank of their car from a bucket of gasoline. It is not known just how the gasoline became ignited. The young man was badly burned about the body.

Besides a father and mother, the young man leaves several sisters and brothers. The Spradley family has been prominent in Nacogdoches County since the pioneer days. The deceased is a nephew of A. J. Spradley, for many years Sheriff of this county and one of the best known peace officers in Texas.
