Moses Clark Miller

Funeral services for Moses Clark Miller were held December 20 at the Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.F. Appleby and the Rev. J.W. Chatham, Jr., officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was 83.

Miller died December 19 at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson after a lengthly [sic lengthy] illness.

A native of Neshoba county, Miller was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Stewards and the Building Committee. He was a retired manager of the American Creosote Works number 43. Miller was a veteran of World War I, a charter member of the Mississippi Southern Golf Association, a Shriner, a member of the Rotary Club, and a graduate of Mississippi State University.

He was chairman of the board of directors of People Savings and Loan Association.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Miller; two daughters, Mrs. Cecil Kuhne of Lubbock, Tex., and Mrs. Dave Savage of San Diego, Calif.; a son, Dr. C.G. Blue of Jackson; a brother, J.L. (Kit) Miller of Philadelphia; and 16 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Larry Giffin, Keith Giffin, Cecil Kuhne, Clarke Kuhne, Everette Simmons, Jack Hobson and Graham Blue.

Honarary [sic Honorary] pallbearers were members of the board of directors of Peoples Savings and Loan Association.
