Luby Dee Clark

Luby Dee Clark, 85, of Stringer, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at Memory Chapel with burial in Good Hope Cemetery in Jasper County. Rev. Richard Bates will officiate.

She was a homemaker and a member of Fair Ridge Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, T. Q. James; second husband, O. W. Clark; son, Winston James; step-son, Clarence Clark; step-daughter, Wilma Johnson; two grandsons, five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include four sons, Reese James (Ellen) of Columbus, Larry James of Leakesville, Ricky James of Meridian and Marty Clark of Magee; daughter, Patty Scrimpshire (Neil) of Laurel; two sisters, Annie Ruth Ervin of Stringer and Bert Sasser of Gulfport; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Alex Scrimpshire, Triston Daniel, Ken Ervin, Sam Ervin, Wetzel Bankston and Duffy Bankston.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 8:30 p.m. Friday at Memory Chapel of Laurel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
