Myra Jean Powell Frazier
September 15, 1953 - July 20, 2010

Services for Myra Jean Powell Frazier will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 23, 2010, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Reverend Lonnie Weidner officiating. Burial will be at Tioga Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.

Mrs. Frazier, 56, of Pineville, passed from this life July 20, 2010, at her residence after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

She was a member of Church of the Pentecost, Ball, Louisiana and worked as a mail sorter for the U. S. Postal Service.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray L. Powell, Sr. and her grandparents, Woodrow & Myrtle Johnson, and Martin & Delores Powell.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 35 years, Gary Frazier of Tioga; mother, Lazelle Stewart Powell of Tioga, daughters, Jessica Frazier-Bailey and Amy Rister both of Ball; brothers, Ray Powell, Jr., Max Powell, Martin (Bo) Powell, Robert (Bob) Powell and Tim Powell all of Pineville; sister, Leah Bedgood of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Shelley Hendershott, Elizabeth Rister, Ethan Hendershott, Hunter Rister, and MacKenzie Bailey; eleven nephews & nieces and numerous aunts, uncles and friends.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Bedgood, Drew Bedgood, Kevin Powell, Jeremy Powell, Blake Powell, and Philip Camp.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
