Myrtis Louise Slaughter

Services for Myrtis Louise Slaughter were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2002 in the Goldonna Baptist Church with Rev. Doyle McGrew officiating. Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home, Jonesboro, LA.

Mrs. Slaughter, age 89 of Goldonna, died Monday, July 22, 2002 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. She was a retired nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O. C. Slaughter, and one son, Jesse Richard Boyett.

Survivors are three daughters, Jean B. Culpepper of Jonesboro, [Molly] Foster of Baton Rouge, LA and Becky Morgan and husband Andrew of Goldonna, LA; six grandchildren, Ricky Boyett of Fort Smith, AR, Billy Foster of Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Andi Morgan of Tampa, FL, Ann Roden and husband Rayford of Jonesboro, LA, Chauncey Tucker of Branford, FL and Vanessa Williams and husband Brian of Atlanta, LA; and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Larry Easterling, Trey Morgan, Rayford Roden and Brian Williams.
