MYRTIS CLORA CARTER

Myrtis Clora Carter, 74, of Ellisville, died March 1 at her residence.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, with burial in Ellisville Cemetery. Dr. Dwight Smith and the Rev. Tom McCurley will officiate.

She was a native of Jasper County and a member of West Ellisville Baptist Church. She was retired from South Jones High School cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Carter.

She is survived by daughters, Annie Laura Jackson of Pass Christian, Clora Frances Buster of Heidelberg and Johnnie Carolyn Flowers of Hattiesburg; brothers, Amos McCarty of Laurel and Leo McCarty of Magee; a sister, Maudine Fragatane of Erie, Pa., and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brent Shows, Bobby Smith, Daniel Grafton, Jim Belk, Carroll Bailey and James Adcock. Deacons of West Ellisville Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, which is in charge of arrangements.
