Myrtis S. Krohn
Mrs. Myrtis S. Krohn, 85, of Wiggins passed away July 27, 2008 at her residence.
Mrs. Krohn graduated from Wiggins High School, Perkinston Jr. College and USM with a B.S. in Home Economics. She was a homemaker, home economics teacher and worked with the Senior Citizens lunch program.
She was a lifelong resident of Stone County and member of First Baptist Church in Wiggins where she taught Bible School, Sunday School, served on the hostess committee and kept the nursery.
She is preceded in death by her husband, L.A. Krohn and her parents Malcom and Vashti Stewart and a sister Nelda Gene White.
Survivors include, one daughter, Genene Denzey and husband Larry of Wiggins; two sons, Terry “Tiger” Krohn and wife Rosa of Wiggins and Larry Allen Krohn and wife Lorraine of Gulfport, MS; one sister, Voncile Shiel of Ponchatoula, La.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wiggins.
