Mrs. M. Turner Rites Set Tuesday In Sulphur
SULPHUR (Spl) -- Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Turner, 46, of 310 North Crocker street, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Burke-Hammer funeral home chapel with Rev. Raymond Carlin, pastor of a non-denominational church of Placquemines, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Garden of Memories in Lake Charles.
Mrs. Turner died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday at the West Calcasieu-Cameron hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Ponchatoula and had lived in Sulphur for 16 years.
Surviving are her husband, L. J. Turner; six sons, Charles and Travis Turner of Houston, Tex., Murphy Turner of Lake Charles, David, Louis and Glenn Turner, all of Sulphur; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Chain of Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Linda Sue Domingue of Sulphur and Miss Patricia Turner of Sulphur; four sisters, Mrs. Lee LaFleur, Mrs. Theresa Johnson, Mrs. Gracie Hazelton and Mrs. Ester Porter; two brothers, Chester and Lester Morgan, all of Oakdale and four grandchildren.
