Mrs. Montgomery
WINNFIELD -- Myrtle Roberts Montgomery, 67, of Winnfield, died Monday at Winnfield General Hospital here after a brief illness.
Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m. today at Ball First Baptist Church here with burial in Ball Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Survivors include two sons, Sidney Montgomery of Shreveport and Gilbert Montgomery of New Orleans; two brothers, Bill Roberts and T. J. Roberts, both of Winnfield; four sisters, Audrey Barker and Mrs. Dasiey [sic Daisy] Young all of Winnfield and Mrs. Lucille Bucks of Winnsboro; her father, Dan Roberts of Winnfield; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Montgomery, 67, of Route 1, Dodson, who died
Monday, February 15 [sic 14], 1972 were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ball Baptist
Church near Ball with the Rev. J. D. Enigann officiating, assisted by the Rev.
J. T. Moses. Burial was in Ball under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral
Home of Winnfield.
Mrs. Montgomery was a native of Winn Parish.
Survivors include two sons, Gilbert Montgomery of Slidell and Sidney
Montgomery of Shreveport; her father, D. H. Roberts of Dodson; four sisters,
Mrs. Lucille Buchan of Crowville, Mrs. Audrey Barker of Winnfield, Mrs. Viola
Sanders and Mrs. Daisy Young, both of Dodson; two brothers, Bill Roberts of
Dodson and T. J. Roberts of Jena; seven grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
