Myrtle Waymoth Douglas was born to Harry E. Waymoth and Lillian Swinford Waymoth in Danville, Illinois on December 13, 1933. She went home to be with our Lord December 19, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Those gone before her are her parents, Harry and Lillian, first husband Alfred B. Douglas of Grayson, La., two infant sons, two sisters and second husband Benny Freeman of Rocky Branch, La.

Myrtle is survived by one sister, Louella Schonians of Danville, Ill., her son, Benny and wife Beth Douglas, Grayson, La., her daughters, Connie and husband Braxton Humphries of Monroe, La., Pam and husband Stephen Mann of Columbia, La., 11 grandchildren, Renee and Wes Pippin, Columbia, MO., Jennifer and John Crockett, Monroe, La., Leslie and Brian Lamb, Monroe, La., J.D. and Billie Douglas, Cabot, AR., April and Paul Burnett, S. Carolina, Jon, Amanda and Abby Douglas of Grayson, La., Tina and Daniel Moore and Amy Mann of Columbia, La.

Myrtle is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and several precious sisters and brothers in law and nieces and nephews as well as “adopted” daughters and grandson, Regina Lenard, Lori Washam and Lee Ann and Jacob Freeman and many friends whom she loved dearly.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Cypress Baptist Church and services will be Friday, December 22, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Cypress Baptist Church in West Monroe officiating will be Rev. Larry Eubanks her pastor, Rev. George Bonner a long time friend and son-in-law, Rev. Braxton Humphries. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
