MRS. NANCY B. BROCK

A funeral service for Mrs. Nancy Barefoot Brock, 86, of Route 2, Newton Grove, and a native of Johnston County, was held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Maple Grove Church. The Rev. Minot Godwin, the Rev. J. W. Alford of Morehead City and the Rev. John Cooper of Newton Grove officiated, and burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was the daughter of the late N. G. and Susanne Johnson Barefoot and was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She died at 6:30 Wednesday night at her home after several months of illness.

Survivors are five sons, H. M. Brock and J. A. Brock of Route 2, Dunn, N. E. Brock of Route 2, Roseboro, I. B. Brock of Route 2, Newton Grove, and J. P. Brock of Los Angeles, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. J. S. Smith of Route 2, Dunn, Mrs. W. L. West and Mrs. J. B. Hargrove of Route 2, Newton Grove, Mrs. C. H. Lewis of Washington, D. C.; two half brothers, O. H. Barefoot of Route 2, Benson; Charles E. Barefoot of Route 2, Four Oaks; four half sisters, Mrs. B. B. Jones, Mrs. A. D. Dunn, Mrs. Braxton Barefoot of Route 2, Benson, Mrs. J. W. Massengill of Route 2, Four Oaks; 40 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
