Mrs. Nancy Hand, 57, Practical Nurse, Dies

Mrs. Nancy Jane Baker Hand, 57 years old, died at 10 o'clock Saturday night in a Joplin nursing home. She had been in ill health since 1958.

Mrs. Hand was born August 26, 1904, in Louisiana and had resided in Joplin 30 years. She had been a practical nurse. She was a member of the Forest Park Baptist church.

Surviving are a son, J. H. Howell of Odessa, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Lorene Putman, Joplin route 2; Mrs. Lucille Klous of Wichita Falls, Tex., and Mrs. Merlyn Griffin of El Paso, Tex., and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Mason chapel by the Rev. Floyd Weston. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Putman, Sylvester Trimble, Willie Giett, Tom Harbit, Raymond Short and Robert Gilstrap, Sr.
