SOUTHAVEN -- Mass for Nancy Simmons, 82, homemaker, will be at 10 a.m. today at Christ The King Catholic Church, Southaven. Simmons died Sunday, June 22, at Baptist DeSoto, Southaven. Simmons was born Feb. 19, 1926 in Gulfport, and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Southaven. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William R. Simmons of Southaven; six sons, Robert (Sue) Simmons of Fresno, Calif., William James Simmons, Sr., Phoenix, Ariz., John (Jann) Simmons, Horn Lake, Charles (Allison) Simmons, Winfield, Ill., Fred (Tracye) Simmons of Bartlett, Tenn., and Kenneth (Sherry) Simmons, Southaven; two daughters, Margaret (Mark) Powell of Alexandria, Va. and Roberta (Dewey) Spencer,Judsonia, Ark.; one brother, George Schloegel of Gulfport; three sisters, Henrietta Kincaid, Gulfport, Rosie Parkerson of Gulfport, and Marie Broer, Sacramento, Cali.; 10 grandchildren, William James Simmons, Jr., Leo Simmons, Marley Simmons, John Thomas Simmons, Joe Simmons, Jake Simmons, Jennifer Bean, Crystal Folse, Stephanie Davidson, and Crossley Simmons; and four great grandchildren, Johnathan Folse, Eathan Folse, Caitlyn Folse, and Tabytha Folse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph A. and Nancy Bertucci Schloegel; one grandchild, Patricia Jean Watts, one brother, Joseph Schloegel; one sister, Virgie Wallace; and one son-in-law, John Watts.
Any memorials may be made to the Christ the King Catholic Church Building Fund.
