MRS. NANNIE CHILDERS

Mrs. Nannie Camille Childers, 55, wife of Fred Childers, Sr., died Sunday night at her home 406 Splane Drive, West Monroe. She was well known and highly regarded in the Twin Cities. There will be a short prayer service at Mulhearn Funeral Home chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m., after which the funeral will be held in Ridge Avenue Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. Rev. A. T. Mitchell, pastor, will officiate, being assisted by Rev. Glen Wright. Mrs. Childers was a member of this church. Interment will be in Hasley cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: E. R. Whitaker, Hugh Balfour, Fred Hayton, W. C. Salley, Benny H. Andrews, F. A. Brown, Sr., L. L. Hislop and A. I. Albright. Honorary pallbearers will be all friends of the family.

Mrs. Childers is survived by her husband; three sons, F. C. Childers, Jr., Miami, Fla.; Milton A. Childers, West Monroe; and Courtney R. Childers, West Monroe; a brother S. H. Manley of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Lavenia Kirkland, Kelly, La., and three grandchildren.

Sister of S. H. Manly Died in West Monroe

Mrs. Nannie Camille Childers, 55, a sister of S. H. Manly of Volman Lake near Riverton, died Sunday night at her home in West Monroe. She was well known and highly respected, and had many friends here in Caldwell Parish who regret to hear of her death. She is also a sister of Mrs. Lavenia Kirkland of Kelly.

Funeral services were held in the Ridge Avenue Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. with the pastor, Rev. A. T. Mitchell in charge and assisted by Rev. Glen Wright. Mrs. Childers, who was the wife of Fred Childers, was a member of this church. Interment was made in the Hasley cemetery.
