Mrs. Oma Brown Buried Sunday At Conehatta

Funeral services were held for Naoma (Oma) Ruth Emmons Brown, 77, Sunday, January 8, 1960 [sic 1961], at 2:30, from the Conehatta Methodist Church, with Rev. A. G. Smith officiating, assisted by Rev. Powell Hall and Rev. Bill Stroud. Burial was in the Conehatta Cemetery with Ott & Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brown died in her home at Lake from an extended illness. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edgar McGee, Lake, Mrs. Jack M. Harrell, Pascagoula, five sons, Woodrow Brown, Anthony, Fla., A. C., Ray, and John R. Brown, all of Pascagoula, Cecil Brown of Tifton, Ga., twenty-four grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Jim Crane, Lake and Mrs. Jim Bridges, Morton, one brother, John Emmons, Walnut Grove.

Pallbearers: Thurman Harrell, Jimmie Posey, Gerald Harrell, Redell Herrington, Terry Brown, and William Brown.
