Naoma Nell Lewis

Naoma Lewis, 82, of Odessa passed away on May 6, 2011, at the Hospice House in Odessa, TX.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elton Lewis.
Naoma was born September 7, 1928 in Abilene, TX. to the late R.T. and Nell Johnson and grew up in Yantis, TX. She moved to Odessa as a young woman where she spent her adult life and reared two sons as a single mother. She was an active, patriotic woman who loved her country and was thoroughly involved with her many friends, sorority, traveling, and volunteer work. She especially loved her long time service with the Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Tony and Susanne Reed of Toulouse, France, her son Paul Reed of Lufkin, TX; her five granddaughters, Katy Reed and Jenny Reed of FT. Myers, FL., Taylor Reed of Sarasota, FL., Lacy Reed and Emily Reed of Austin, TX. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Presley Reed of Ft. Myers, FL., her brother W.C. Johnson of Yantis, TX. her sister, Wanda Mason of Dallas, TX. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends, all who were blessed to know her and were greatly influenced by her life and the guidance she provided.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
Memorial services will take place Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.at the Yantis Cemetery in Yantis, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in her name be made to the Hospice House of Odessa. Her five granddaughters will be honorary pallbearers.
