Funeral services for Naomi Louise Evans, 64, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 19, 2010, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Evans was born on August 6, 1945 in New Orleans, LA and passed away March 16, 2010 to be with angels above us.
Ms. Evans was preceded in death by her mother, Doyce Walmsley; grandparents, Ruby and Ann Kelly; along with great granddaughter, Samantha Monnat.
Ms. Evans was a retired dietary manager. She was the greatest mother of all. She was a caring and nurturing sister to three. She was a strong, independent, loveable, and understanding woman who loved all children. Ms. Evans enjoyed home and gardening and sewing.
Ms. Evans is survived by her two daughters, Sherri Evans, and Teresa Williams and husband Patrick; eldest sister of four, Mary Cole, Rita Conner and husband Kenny, and Pattie Cady and husband Dale; grandchildren, Andy Monnat, Amber Williams, Kimberly Evans and fiancée Scott Morris, Brandon Williams, and Wyatt Evans; great grandchildren, Sarabeth Monnat and Myles Talton; nieces and nephews, Troy Cole, Stacy Cerecero, Christina Conner, Kevin Conner, Robert Barnett, Jessie Barnett and Shawn Skyles; great nieces and nephews, Amanda Cerecero, Blake Cerecero, Colby Whidden, Cheyene and Dakota Conner, Dale Cagle, Stormy, Jayla, Makayla and Brittany Skyles; and great-great niece, Paige Siemmons.
Pallbearers will be Dale Cady, Charles Evans, Carl Ferrington, Shawn ``Stumpy'' Hughes, Neal ``Rod'' Robertson, and Dale Cagle. Honorary pallbearers will be special nephew, Troy Cole and Bob Ferrington.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
The family wishes to express special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, home health care, ambulance drivers, fire department, and St. Francis Medical Center.
