Natalie McKeithen Eastwood, 91, died August 1, 2017 after a brief battle with lung cancer.

She was born in Columbia, Louisiana to William Monroe McKeithen and Nan Meredith McKeithen. She was married to James Edwin Eastwood in 1946. He died in 2012. Also predeceasing her, brothers Carlton McKeithen of Oklahoma, Aubrey McKeithen of Louisiana and twin sister, Katie Lee Wardlaw of Louisiana.

Natalie is survived by her daughter, Dianne Eastwood Spence and her son in law, George Spence. Also surviving her are nieces Stacy Cupp and Nancy Solito, daughters of Aubrey McKeithen; and Lee Ann Davies, daughter of Katie Lee Wardlaw, and Ron McKeithen, son of Carlton McKeithen.

Natalie and Jim met on LSU campus. She worked at Western Union and he had just returned from WW11. Later he worked for Shell Oil Co. and was transferred to Midland, Texas in 1952 where one of her favorite jobs was building manager. She and Jiim were members of First Baptist Church for many years. Jim’s work took them to Ft. Worth where they cultivated even more friends. In 1996, they moved to Kingwood to be close to their daughter, Dianne.

Natalie enjoyed painting and became quite an artist. She shared this love of paiinting with daughter, Dianne, and they painted almost weekly at the Isle at Kingwood where Natalie lived. She was one of the original founders of the club members of Emeritus that eventually became Isle at Kingwood.

Natalie will be inurned at Houston National Cemetery joining her husband, Jim, an Army Veteran of WWII, and participant in the D-Day Invasion. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 16th at 11:00am.
