Nathan Dale Richey
Nathan Richey, 63, of Baytown, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at his home. He was born October 5, 1943, in Baytown, Texas, to A.J. and Lilly (Roberds) Richey. Nathan proudly and honorably served his country in the Army for 4 years. After the military, he married the love of his life, Mary Sue (Lester) Richey, and they spent 39 wonderful years together. Nathan was employed with Atofina for more than 35 years as a lab technician. He was a member of the Missouri Street Church of Christ and also a member of the National Hibiscus Society. His hobbies included growing Hibiscus and entering flower shows. He also loved hunting and fishing and coaching Little League baseball. Nathan was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather and a treasured friend to many.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Mary Sue Richey; children, Steven Richey and wife, Patty, of Oklahoma City, OK, Jennifer Richey, of Baytown, Lloyd Richey, of Baytown, and Annette Barnes and her husband, James, of Jacksonville, Fl; brother, James Richey and his wife, Pat, of Bozeman, Montana; sister, Glenda Cauble and husband, Robert, of Vidor; grandchildren, Alexis, Calvin, Hunter, and Madison Muckelroy, Victoria, Nathan, and Mary Richey and numerous loving friends.
For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. A special thanks to Faith Community Hospice, Dr. Medellin, Dr. Goswitz, and their staff for their loving care.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 7, 2007, from 10 a.m. to noon at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home, with Bill Ehlig officiating.
