NED DUVAL

NED DUVAL born June 14, 1924, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at the age of 82.

Ned proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana; he then attended Georgia Tech University in Atlanta, Georgia where he received a Masters degree in electrical engineering. Ned was a member of Tau Beta Phi. Ned began working for Shell Oil in 1949, as a Seismologist and retired in 1988, as a manger of Geophysics in offshore exploration. His 39-year career allowed him to live in Louisiana, Canada and Texas. He was a member of the Society of Exploration, the Geophysicists and Geophysical Society of Houston, and also of the Westbury United Methodist Church.

Ned is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Marjorie Ewing Duval; their two sons, John Duval of Houston and Dr. Clint Duval and wife Debbie of Southlake, Texas; three grandchildren, Clay, a second-year student at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina; Neil, a student a Carroll Senior High and Ross, a student at Carroll High School, both in Southlake, Texas.

The family will attend a private graveside service.
