Nell Estes

RULE -- Services for Nell Estes, 82, of Rule are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, at First Baptist Church of Rule with the Rev. Scott Hensley officiating.

Burial will be in Rule Cemetery by McCauley-Robison Funeral Directors.

She died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at an Abilene hospital.

Born July 9, 1915, in Spur, she married John Romaine Estes on Aug. 10, 1937. She worked as a bookkeeper for Bailey Toliver Chevrolet in Haskell for 20 years. She was a member of the Philadelphian Club, Bridge Club and 84 Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rule, where she taught a Sunday school class for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, John Reginald Estes and James Franklin Estes; a sister; and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Rita Beck of Lubbock and Jackie Butler of Irving; a sister, Forrestine Ripple of Dumas; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
