Nellie Inez Carter, 68, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 in Gulfport. Ms. Carter was born in Jackson, MS. and she was a homemaker.
Ms. Carter was a member of Crossroads Community Church in the Lizana Community and was an active volunteer for the Crossroads Community Church Food Pantry. Being a mother and grandmother brought great joy to her life.
Ms. Carter was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Aaron Wilmoth and Matrice Hester Wilmoth; her husband, James K. Carter; her brothers, David, Tommy, Virgil, Allen, Robert, and Jack Wilmoth; her sisters, Janice, Lilly, and Susie Mae Wilmoth.
She is survived by two sons, Ricky Dean Thompson, Sr. and his wife Sandra of Saucier; and Billy Thompson, Jr. and his wife Ginger; three step-sons Ralph, Randy, and Wesley Carter; one daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Necaise and her husband Donnie of Gulfport; one step-daughter, Cathy Rollison; two brothers, John Wilmoth of Jackson and Billy Wilmoth of CA.; one sister, Polly Wilmoth of Jackson, MS.; twelve grandchildren, Jason Necaise of Gulfport, Haley Broom of Oxford, MS., Alecia Thompson, Amy Thompson, Daniel Ladner, Billy Thompson, Chase Thompson, Ricky Thompson, Jr., Ashley Thompson, John King, Joseph King, and Julie King; and six great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home Hwy.49 N. Gulfport.
The burial service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. in the Riemann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel Hwy.49N. Burial will follow at the Finley Cemetery in Saucier, MS.
