Died Friday, Oct. 14, 1988, at Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas. He was 67, a native and resident of Ferriday.

Visiting at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Religious services at First Baptist Church, Ferriday, at 2:30 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. John Connell. Burial in Natchez City Cemetery, Natchez, Miss.

Survived by wife, Judy M. Summerell, Ferriday; a son, Donnie Summerell, Hornbeck; a step-son, Wiley M. Parsons, Baton Rouge; a brother, Lester L. Summerell, Baton Rouge; and seven grandchildren.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Ferriday, owner and operator of Summerell Flying Service, and pilot for Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries with 23 years service.
