*Nena's first child, Gordon, was born before Nena was married. He was adopted as a baby by Daniel R. JAMES and Mattie C. LYNN. Later as an adult, Gordon found his original birth certificate and was able to locate Nena. He and his wife, Bennie, were welcomed by most of Nena's family. His 1910, 1920, and 1930 census records indicate that he was born in TX, but he was born in Shreveport, LA, per information from Carole Jordan Hayes.
