Nettie Mae Weaver

Funeral services for Nettie Mae Weaver, 84, were held Thursday, August 7, at 3 p.m., from the Hazel Baptist Church in Newton County. Rev. Leon Everett and Rev. Raymond Smith officiated. Interment was made in the Conehatta Methodist Cemetery.

Mrs. Weaver passed away on Tuesday, August 5, at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, following a short illness. She was a resident of the Hazel Community all of her life, and a member of the Hazel Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, James B. Weaver, Sr., Franklin, KY, and Howard H. Weaver, Laurel; three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Nester and Mrs. Pat Mayes both of Lake, Mrs. Willie Mae Bunch, Montrose; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Dale Bryant, James W. Pace, Ed Amis, George Clark, Harmon Crosby and Talmage Gibbs.

Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest was in charge of the arrangements.
