NEVELS JUNIOR NEWCOMB
Nevels Junior Newcomb, 64, of Laurel, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in the Antioch Cemetery in Jasper County. Rev. Norman Hartshorn will officiate.
He was retired from the grocery store business. He was a member of Kingston Assembly of God Church in Laurel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Molly Newcomb; two brothers, Elijah and Billy Newcomb; and one sister, Fannie B. Westbrooks.
He is survived by two brothers, Bobby Newcomb and B.G. (Shorty) Newcomb, both of Laurel; two sisters, Mary Etta Evans of Laurel and Minnie Allgood of Louin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Allgood, Bobby Hancock, Dale Manning, Dwayne Scott, Charles Wayne Johnson and Charles Myrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Speed and R.C. Pitts.
Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
