N.S. Kimball
Funeral services for Newton Scott Kimball, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wilson and Knight Chapel with Rev. William T. Bryant officiating with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mr. Kimball died Tuesday enroute to the Greenwood-Leflore Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.
Mr. Kimball was born in Jackson and was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was a Presbyterian where he was a deacon. Mr. Kimball was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hettie Wall Emmons Kimball; one son, Scott Kimball Jr., of Bartlesville, Okla.; three grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Shelby Lilly of Jackson and one brother, Mack Jones Kimball of Port Gibson.
Pallbearers will be Hite McLean, M. G. Shephard, Lee Carr, Gordon Teague, Bill Pillow, Vance Lawson, John T. McMillan, John E. Ashcraft. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's Bible Class of the First Presbyterian Church and other friends of the family.
The family requests any memorials be sent to a favorite charity.
