MRS. UNICY MCCURLEY

DERIDDER (Spl.) -- Funeral services for Mrs. Unicy McCurley, 74, will be held Thursday in the Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder at at time to be announced. The Rev. Jimmy Brosette will officiate.

Burial will be in Newland [sic Newlin] Cemetery in Singer.

A lifelong resident of Beauregard Parish, Mrs. McCurley died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in a Lake Charles hospital.

A resident of 306 Frusha St. in DeRidder, Mrs. McCurley was a member of the Second Baptist Church of DeRidder.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Jewell Hickman, Mrs. Velma Ferris, Mrs. Lena Rainwater, Mrs. May Miller, Mrs. Louise Bell and Mrs. Vina Blackman, all of DeRidder, and Mrs. Laura McCullough of Houston, Tex.; six sons, Bennie McCurley of DeRidder, Barney McCurley of Laurel, Miss., Hillary [sic Hildred] McCurley of Oklahoma City, Okla., Olen Ray McCurley of Lake Charles, Robert McCurley of Houston, and W. Kenneth McCurley of Fort Dodge, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. P. Hickman and Miss Christine Cooley, both of DeRidder, and Mrs. Vena Luttrell of Glenmora; 37 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
