Nina R. Underwood

WINNFIELD -- Services for Nina Roberta Underwood will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction by Southern.

Mrs. Underwood, 78, of Winnfield died Monday, May 27, 1996, in Winn Parish Medical Center.

She was a native of Sikes and a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Flurry's Pharmacy and Winn Department Store.

Survivors include one son, Philip Underwood of Ruston; one daughter, Nina Simmons of Winnfield; one brother, James C. Taylor of Washington; two sisters, Earline Kelley of Sikes and Mildred Mayes of Beaumont, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2:30-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday in the funeral home.
