Noah B. Welch
Funeral services for Noah B. Welch, age 79, of Gilbert, were held Saturday,
Feb. 14, 2009 at River of Life Church of Winnsboro, with Bro. David Phillips
officiating. Interment followed in South Central Cemetery near Wisner under the
direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Welch was a trucker for 55 years, he loved his grandchild and great-grandchildren,
and loved to raise hogs.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Ruth M. Welch; daughter:
Carolyn Sue Welch McCaul; great grandchild: Lester Kane Cardin, three brothers: O. J. Sikes,
Billy Faye Welch, and Dennis Ray Welch.
Survivors include his sons: Donnie Welch and wife, Elizabeth; Jessie Welch; son-in-law:
Marvin McCaul; granddaughters: Carolyn Cardin and husband, John; Melanie McCaul; grandson:
Marvin “BoBo” McCaul; great grandchildren: Josh Moses, Krystal Cardin, Madison Cardin,
Noah Cardin, and Wes Cardin; brother: Truman Welch; sisters: Helen Morrison; Alice Temple
and husband Nolan; sister-in-law: Faye Welch; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Marvin McCaul, Marvin “Bobo” McCaul, Eric Rutledge, Pete Welch,
Travis Welch, and Michael Temple.
