Nona Armstrong Karbo

Nona Armstrong Karbo, 90, of Amarillo, formerly of Pampa, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel in Pampa with Glen Walton, minister of Bell Street Church of Christ in Amarillo, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Center Point Cemetery near Saint Jo, with Mrs. Karbo's cousin, Glenn McDonald of Plainview, officiating.

Mrs. Karbo was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Saint Jo to Prescott and Nora Armstrong. She was a resident of Pampa from 1953 until 2006 and a member of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ in Pampa.

Survivors include three sons, Ole Karbo of Pardeeville, Wis., Howard Karbo of Round Rock and Kent Karbo of Pampa; four grandsons; and three sisters, Maxine Hendrich and Geneva Webb, both of Fort Worth, and June Witcher of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Road, Suite 12-A, Lubbock, TX 79424; or the Center Point Cemetery Association in Saint Jo.
