Nora Estelle Walker

GILMER -- Services for Nora Estelle Walker, 90, of Gilmer, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2007, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel of Gilmer, with Randy Shipman officiating. Burial will follow in East Mountain Cemetery.

Mrs. Walker died February 13, 2007, in Longview. Born May 20, 1916, in East Mountain, she was a homemaker and member of Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Dean Walker; daughters, Lavern Chaplin, Marie Brown and Margie Fischer; brothers, J.C. Medlin; and sisters, Mattie Lou Alford and Thelma Beall.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Nora Estelle Walker

GILMER -- Services for Nora Estelle Walker, 90, Gilmer, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Croley Funeral Home chapel, Gilmer, with Randy Shipman officiating.

Burial will be in Old East Mountain Cemetery, Upshur County.

Mrs. Walker died Feb. 13, 2007, in Longview.

She was born May 20, 1916, in East Mountain to the late Frank and Eddie Irene Woodruff Medlin. She was a homemaker and member of the Assembly of God church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ferguson Walker, in 1986.

Survivors include son, Jimmy Dean Walker, Seven Pines; daughters, Lavern Chaplin, Spring Hill, Marie Brown, New Summerfield, and Margie Fischer, Gilmer; brothers, J.C. Medlin, East Mountain; sisters, Mattie Lou Alford and Thelma Beall, both of White Oak; 23 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Don Walker, Rick Fischer, James Clifton White, David White, Jimmy Edward White and Wayne Chaplin.
