Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Rishell was born in Clarks, Louisiana on June 15, 1908 and died at St. Francis Medical Center on May 22, 2004. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Monroe, and a former member of Noel Methodist Church in Shreveport for 56 years. Prior to moving to Shreveport in 1941, Norine taught school in Caldwell Parish. In Shreveport, she worked for 21 years at Guardian Life Insurance Company and then for the Giddens Lane Company for 30 years. She moved to Monroe in 1997 to be near her family.
Norine's love of her family and friends was primary in her life, and a day never passed without her sending a card of well wishes to someone she knew. She was a special lady, an inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Heaven is more richly blessed by her presence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip L. Rishell of Shreveport; her father and mother, John Curtis and Escynthia L. Ziegler; and her three sisters, Florence Ziegler Allbritton, Mary Jeanette Ziegler Robertson, and Virginia Ziegler Cage.
