Norma F. Dunn
March 15, 1931 - June 30, 2018

Norma Faulkner Dunn, age 87, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family, on June 30, 2018 in Kingwood, Texas.

Norma was born in Port Arthur, Texas March 15, 1931 to Hollis Thomas Faulkner and Tossie B. Sapp Faulkner.

Norma is survived by her husband Joseph Lamar Dunn, of 66 years; children, Karan Dunn Sorgen and husband Norman, Gary and wife Laura, Tom and wife Sheila. Grandchildren Eric Sorgen and wife Deanna, Bryan Sorgen and wife Lauren Amanda, Lauren Elizabeth Sorgen and husband Grant Gulyassy and Jennifer Dunn. Great-grandchildren Avery and Kylie Sorgen, Landon, Nash, and Savannah Sorgen, Grayson and Ellie Gulyassy.

She was pre-deceased by a great granddaughter, Myriam Grace Gulyassy.

In addition, she is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Cousins and nephews Larry, Douglas, and Brandon Cousins.

She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School as well as a local business school. Norma was an artist and local business owner of Gallery 546 in the Beaumont /Port Arthur area for several years before retiring to Kingwood, Texas in 1992. Joe and Norma were married September 7, 1951. They moved to Falls Church, Virginia, while Joe was in the U. S. Navy. Following his service commitment, they returned to Texas.

Norma was an avid gardener, artist, jewelry maker, and passionately loved fossils and antiques. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends pool-side with a good glass of wine. Norma adored her many pets and especially Samuel Von Tigger, her Maine Coon cat.
