Norma Shirey Prince
May 22, 1921 - January 30, 2017

Funeral services for Mrs. Norma Shirey Prince of Bernice will be held 1:00pm Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Chatham Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Atkins officiating under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:00am until 12 noon before service on Saturday. Interment will be in Chatham Cemetery.

Mrs. Prince passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at the age of 95. She worked for the State of Louisiana 31 years as a social worker. She was an avid gardener, a member of the Heritage Quilt Guild, and a fan of Professional Wrestling. She was a member of Chatham Baptist Church for 62 years, she loved her church family.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Shirley Kay Prince Norwood and husband Dale K.; son, Robert Prince and wife Leu Anne; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Lyda Amason; brother, Harry C. Shirey; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Myra (Lee) Shirey; husband, Wayne D. Prince; brother, Robert Shirey; sister, Howelene Skinner.
