LOWERY, MR. NORMAN WINFRED, age 77, of Lincoln, AL, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2009. He was a member of Blue Eye Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee; a member of Centerville Masonic Lodge; a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War; and was a retired foreman with Hayes International in Birmingham, Alabama.

He is survived wife, Ioma “Pat” Lowery; daughters, Karen (Pat) Pater, Lisa Miller; son, Norman Richard Lowery, all of Tuscaloosa; sister, Marie (Harold) Webb of West Blocton; brothers, John (Gail) Willis of Birmingham, Roy (Trudy) Lowery of Lay Lake; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Helen Charlaine Harris of Lincoln, Diane Vincent Ruggiero of Baton Rouge, La; and one stepson, John Paul Vincent of Lincoln.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Blue Eye Baptist Church. Mr. Lowery will lie in state for one hour prior to the service time. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Rev. Harold Hazel and Rev. Ray Neal Lowery will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Naramore, Johnny Waits, Joey Ruggiero, Vincent Harris, Pat Pater, Mike Diodené.

Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Smith, David Smipes, Jason Page, and the Deacons and Trustees of Blue Eye Baptist Church.
