Mrs. Northan N. Iasigi Is Mourned at 28
Funeral services for Mrs. Northan Ann Newman Iasigi, 28, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Iasigi died at 9 a.m. Tuesday in a Baton Rouge hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1937, in Amite County.
Rev. Arthur Smith will conduct the services in the Gillsburg Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the home of her parents in Gillsburg until time for services.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Newman, Gillsburg; her husband, Joseph D. Iasigi; two sons, Joseph D. Jr. and William Chase Iasigi; and one daughter, Ramona Ann Iasigi, all of Baton Rouge; and one sister, Mrs. Flata [sic Fleeta] Williams, Gillsburg.
Burial will be in the Gillsburg Cemetery with Hartman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Iasigi Kin Dies
Friends of Mrs. Nannie Strong Iasigi of Bentonia were grieved to learn of the sudden death of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Josie [sic Joseph] Dromell Iasigi of Baton Rouge. Mrs. Iasigi's death occurred Tuesday and [was] due to a blood clot. Funeral services will be held Friday near McComb, her former home.
Mrs. Iasigi motored to Baton Rouge to be with the family in their sorrow.
Her nephew, Jeff Strong, of Bentonia, will also attend the rites. Mrs. Iasigi is survived by her husband, two sons and a daughter.
