Norval Peters Hood
Funeral services for Mrs. Norval Peters Hood, age 88, will be held Monday, May 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM in Kings Corner Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jeff Manuel and Rev. Andy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will begin Sunday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Hood was born March 19, 1921 to Earl Dewey and Mary Rhojelia Boyett Peters and passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Shreveport, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of Kings Corner Assembly of God Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Hood was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert F. Hood of Springhill; son, Robert Earl Bob Hood of Chesapeake Beach, MD; grandchildren, Heather England, Cynthia Siegal and husband, Stewart, Jeffery Hood, Scott Neuenhahn; great grandchildren, Leighton, Camden, Ashley, Zachary; sister, Margie Martin of Bossier City, LA, Edith Tuberville, Keller, TX; brother, James D. Peters of Baton Rouge, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Melba, Eloise, Leta Hilda and brothers, Dallas and Earl, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of the Kings Corner Assembly of God Church.
