Norvis Cleo Bishop Green
(June 25, 1925 - May 5, 2014)

Mrs. Norvis Cleo Bishop Green, age 88, of Gautier, MS passed from this earth on May 5, 2014. She was born to the late James Oliver and Martha Florence (Green) Bishop on June 25, 1925 in Louin, MS.

Mrs. Green was a devoted mother who touched the lives of many with her kind and gentle nature. She was a great cook, enjoyed quilting, and music but most of all singing. In the year 2000 she was selected Care Taker of the Year in recognition of the devotion and specialized care she provided to her handicapped sister. She was a devoted member of Gautier First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Albert Green Jr.; son, Lloyd Anthony Green; 8 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Mrs. Green is survived by her three sons, Dennis (Connie) Green of Gautier, MS, David (Terri) Green of Taichung, Taiwan, James Dwight (Brenda) Green of Lumberton, MS; daughter, Judy (John) Yorko of Daphne, AL; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Family will receive guests from 12:00 -- 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Gautier First Baptist Church. A Celebration of life will immediately follow the visitation, with Brother David Aultman officiating. Interment will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery, Gautier, MS.
