Branch Funeral Services Held

KENNETH [sic KENNETT], Mo. (Special) -- Funeral services for Oakley Garcie Branch, 58, a former resident of Monroe, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Kenneth [sic Kennett]. Burial was in Dunklin Memorial Gardens there.

Mr. Branch died Sunday evening here after a short illness. He was a resident of Gobler, Mo., and a native of Winn Parish.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leatrice Bowie Branch of Gobler; five daughters and two sons; his mother, Mrs. Alice Harper Branch of West Monroe; four brothers, L. A. Branch of West Monroe, H. A. Branch of St. Mary's, Ga., and Thomas R. Griggs and Jessie Griggs, both of West Monroe; six sisters, Mrs. Bessie Robinson, Mrs. Myrtle Roberts, Mrs. Pearl Branch, Mrs. Gladys Chatham, and Mrs. Maggie Hearn, all of West Monroe, and Mrs. Lora Long of Columbia; and several grandchildren.
