Mrs. Dan Roberts Succumbs To Long Illness

Mrs. Ocea Barton Roberts, 61, of Winnfield died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 1972 in Winnfield General Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral rites were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Laurel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Haley and Rev. Henry Mott officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

A native of Winn Parish, she was a charter member of Laurel Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Dan M. Roberts of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. James Gilcrease and Miss Dana Roberts, both of Shreveport; two brothers, Virgil Barton of Thibodaux and Charles A. Barton of Lafayette; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dr. Henry T. Parker, Marlin Collins, Dewitt Collins, Roy Collins, W. R. Roberts, and Rev. E. B. Barton.
