Final Rites For Oday Ingles Held Thursday, Oct. 22
Funeral services for Oday Ingles, 61, who died Tuesday afternoon in a local
hospital after a long illness, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Southern
Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Melvin James and Rev. W. C. Grice
officiating.
Burial was in the Gorhamtown Cemetery.
Mr. Ingles was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish, a member of the Assembly of
God Church, and a retired carpenter.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Rabie Ingles, Joyce; three sons, John Henry Ingles
of Dodson, Oday Jessie and Pierce Ingles, both of Joyce; one daughter, Mrs. J.
C. McKinley of West Monroe; four brothers, Edgar Ingles of Baton Rouge, Dee
and Jerome Ingles of Joyce, and T. P. Ingles of Clute, Texas; two sisters,
Mrs. Edna Warner of Joyce and Mrs. Pearl Anyan of Winnfield; his mother, Mrs.
Alice Ingles, Winnfield; and four grandchildren.
