OHROS COOLEY

DERIDDER (Spl.) -- Ohros Cooley, 65, of DeRidder, died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday in the DeRidder Baptist hospital.

The body was taken to the Hixson funeral home in DeRidder, where funeral arrangements will be announced.

Mr. Cooley, a native of Beauregard parish, had retired in September from his position as field superintendent of the Louisiana Correctional and Industrial School.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leona Cooley; one daughter, Mrs. Eloise Cooley of DeRidder; three sons, Junior J. and Kelby C. Cooley, both of DeRidder, and W. L. Cooley of Runge, Tex.

Six brothers, W. A., Talmadge, Homer, Nandoze [sic Mandoza], Efferson, and Woodrow, all of DeRidder; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Austin of DeRidder; and 11 grandchildren.
