OLEN L. KNIGHT
Olen Lee Knight, 75, Rt. 7, Laurel, died Wednesday morning in a Laurel hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Jones County, veteran of World War I, member of Centerville Baptist Church and a retired machinist with Wells Manufacturing Company.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with the Revs. Carman Savell and J. C. Pitts officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Carrie McDaniel Knight; one daughter, Mrs. Jimmy (Ava Dean) Brown, Long Beach; one son, Dr. Artis E. Knight of Petal; 10 grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Ethel McIlwain, Willow Ranch, Calif.; Mrs. Jannie Slater, Greenwood; four brothers: D. A. Knight, Redding, Calif.; Harold Knight, Winfield [sic Winnfield], La.; Hall Knight, Rt. 1, Ovett, and Homer Knight of Petal.
Nephews are to be pallbearers.
